The European Poker Tour is one of the most popular series of poker tournaments in the world. It got its start in 2004 because of the massive growth in popularity of poker and the huge success of the World Poker Tour. The World Poker Tour despite its name is mainly focused on events in the United States and the Caribbean so the EPT was introduced to help spread the popularity of the game. In this respect it has been very successful as it is now one of the most popular events going.

The European Poker Tour is a series of events that are staged around Europe. They are all separate tournaments so the only connection between them is that they are all organized by the same group. One of the appeals of the European Poker Tour is that anybody can play in the events provided they can pay the entry fee. The only problem for most people is that currently the entry fee is set at eight thousand euros. The main reason for this is the limited amount of space that exists at most casinos and the limited amount of time to hold the tournament.

Unlike the World Series of Poker which can have tens of thousands of entrants and then spend several weeks whittling the field down the European Poker Tour events last for just a few days. This means that they have to limit the number of people who are able to enter the events. This is why the entry fee is so high. The main reason that the tournaments are played in such a short time frame is that they are primarily made for television events and the early rounds of a large poker tournament are not particularly interesting television.

Because of the high price of entry into the European Poker Tour the event has started using satellite tournaments. These are events that can be entered at a much lower price with the winner getting the chance to play in the main tournament. These satellite events have become very popular and greatly increased increased interest in the European Poker Tour. The main reason is that they give the average player a chance to participate in the events.

Well next time you play at a casino, don’t be surprised if your opponents know exact what you are doing — because they have read it.

Some of the pre-requisites of playing this dynamic seven card stud poker are as follows:

Al the players present on the poker table must initiate ante into the pot before the game starts. The players are dealt with two hole cards facing downwards and a door card. After the cards are dealt to the players on the poker table betting round follows. Most players fold their game in the initial rounds if they have a marginal game.
